In light of increasing concerns around identity theft and unauthorized use of mobile connections, TRCSL urges all mobile phone users to take the following precautions to protect their SIM card ownership and personal data.
📌 Key Responsibilities for SIM Card Holders:

Submit Valid Documents for New Connections:
It is your responsibility to submit accurate and verified documents—including a completed application form and a certified photocopy of your National Identity Card (NIC), Passport, or Driving Licence—when applying for a new mobile connection through a telecom service provider. -
Verify Documentation for Existing Connections:
If you’re already a mobile user, ensure that the documents you provided during registration are correctly filed and associated with your number. You may contact your provider to confirm. -
Prevent Unauthorized Connections in Your Name:
Regularly check with your telecom operator to confirm that no other connections have been registered under your NIC or personal information without your consent. If you discover such instances, immediately request the service provider to disconnect those numbers.
⚠️ Why This Is Important:
Failing to monitor your SIM registration may result in serious legal or security issues, including:

Your NIC being used to register SIM cards for illegal activities

Financial scams and identity fraud

Difficulty proving your innocence if a number registered under your name is misused

සියලුම ජංගම දුරකථන පාරිභෝගිකයන් සඳහා වැදගත් දැනුම්දීමක්
ශ්‍රී ලංකා විදුලි සංදේශ නියාමන කොමිෂන් සභාව (TRCSL) විසින් නිකුත් කරන ලදි
අනවසර ජංගම දුරකථන සම්බන්ධතා භාවිතය සහ අනන්‍යතා සොරකම් කිරීම පිළිබඳ වැඩිවන අවදානම සැලකිල්ලට ගනිමින්, TRCSL සියලුම ජංගම දුරකථන පරිශීලකයින්ට තම SIM කාඩ්පත් හිමිකාරිත්වය සහ පෞද්ගලික දත්ත ආරක්ෂා කර ගැනීම සඳහා පහත සඳහන් පියවර ගන්නා ලෙස උපදෙස් දෙයි.
📌 SIM කාඩ්පත් භාවිතා කරන්නන්ගේ ප්‍රධාන වගකීම්:
- නව සම්බන්ධතා සඳහා වලංගු ලේඛන ඉදිරිපත් කරන්න: විදුලි සංදේශ සේවා සපයන්නෙකු හරහා නව ජංගම දුරකථන සම්බන්ධතාවයක් ලබා ගැනීමේදී, නිවැරදි සහ සත්‍යාපනය කරන ලද ලේඛන ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම ඔබේ වගකීමකි. මේවාට සම්පූර්ණ කරන ලද අයදුම්පතක් සහ ජාතික හැඳුනුම්පතේ (NIC), විදේශ ගමන් බලපත්‍රයේ, හෝ රියදුරු බලපත්‍රයේ සහතික කරන ලද ඡායා පිටපතක් ඇතුළත් විය යුතුය.
- දැනට තිබෙන සම්බන්ධතා සඳහා ලේඛන පරීක්ෂා කරන්න: ඔබ දැනටමත් ජංගම දුරකථන පරිශීලකයෙකු නම්, ලියාපදිංචි වීමේදී ඔබ ලබා දුන් ලේඛන නිවැරදිව ගොනු කර ඇති බවත්, ඔබේ අංකය සමඟ සම්බන්ධ කර ඇති බවත් තහවුරු කරගන්න. මෙය තහවුරු කර ගැනීමට ඔබේ සේවා සපයන්නා අමතන්න.
- ඔබේ නමින් අනවසර සම්බන්ධතා වැළැක්වීම: ඔබේ ජාතික හැඳුනුම්පත හෝ පෞද්ගලික තොරතුරු යටතේ ඔබේ කැමැත්තකින් තොරව වෙනත් සම්බන්ධතා ලියාපදිංචි කර නැති බව තහවුරු කර ගැනීමට ඔබේ විදුලි සංදේශ ක්‍රියාකරු සමඟ නිතිපතා පරීක්ෂා කරන්න. එවැනි අවස්ථාවක් සොයා ගතහොත්, වහාම එම අංක විසන්ධි කරන ලෙස සේවා සපයන්නාගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටින්න.
⚠️ මෙය වැදගත් වන්නේ ඇයි:
ඔබේ SIM ලියාපදිංචිය අධීක්ෂණය කිරීමට අසමත් වීම බරපතල නීතිමය හෝ ආරක්ෂක ගැටලු ඇති විය හැක, ඊට ඇතුළත් වන්නේ:
- නීති විරෝධී ක්‍රියා සඳහා SIM කාඩ්පත් ලියාපදිංචි කිරීමට ඔබේ ජාතික හැඳුනුම්පත භාවිතා කිරීම
- මූල්‍ය වංචා සහ අනන්‍යතා වංචා
- ඔබේ නමින් ලියාපදිංචි කරන ලද අංකයක් අනිසි ලෙස භාවිතා කරන්නේ නම් ඔබේ නිර්දෝෂීභාවය ඔප්පු කිරීමේ අපහසුතාව
